Effect of KO on mitochondrial bc1 complex activity.
The activity of complex III of the respiratory chain was measured in liver mitochondria freshly isolated from rats at the times indicated. The values are expressed as micromoles of cytochrome c reduced min−1·mg protein−1 and represent the means ± SD (n = 4). *P<0.05 vs. rats fed control diet; #P<0.05 vs. rats fed HF diet.
