The minimal error (E*) between the responses of the optimized KBI-model and MSM as a function of KCE and BCE. KSE was set to 5×KCE.

Results are shown for impulse torque perturbations for three different time intervals (T = 50, 100 and 200 ms) over which the responses were optimized. Every grid point in the graph represents an optimization; a total of 300: KCE ranging from 10 to 200 Nm/rad in 20 steps and BCE ranging from 2 to 30 Nms/rad in 15 steps.
