Effect of TSA and Aza-dC treatment on the expression of transposable elements.
(A) Logarithmically growing fibroblasts show increased mRNA expression levels of VL30 LTR elements when treated with TSA. Expression levels were determined with qRT-PCR. Values are normalised to HPRT expression and are shown relative to the expression in untreated HDAC1+/+ fibroblasts. Treatment as in Figure 2. N = 3; ± SD *p<0.05.
