Empirical Research on the Farmer’s Understanding to Non-product Function of Cultivated Land and the Quantization:Based on 1065 QuestionnairesChinese Full Text

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to study the farmers’understanding on the non-productive functions of cultivated land and the quantization level.Both case study and willingness to pay(WTP) were used on this analysis.Results shows that farmers’understudy on non-productive functions of cultivated land include the maintaining social stability,ecological function,farmers’employment,maintaining unique culture of the farmland,and farmers’employment is the most important non-productive functions,The price willingness of non-productive functions of cultivated land pay by the whole society for farmer is influenced with the education level,income level,cultivated land quantity and the age,and that by the individuals is influenced with the income level,cultivated land quantity,housing near green or field,The price willingness to pay by the whole society is much higher than that by the individuals,it provides an effective basis to increase the social protection of cultivated land;income levels and the scarcity of cultivated land are the main factors affecting the level of non-productive functions.
