Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to conduct game analysis on decision-making behaviors of various types of farmers during forest land transfer. Methods employed are(1)to establish analysis framework for the interest game model of both sides during forestland transfer taking game theory as analysis tool;(2)to conduct game analysis on decision-making behaviors of various types of farmers during forestland transfer based on the game model established through the total prospective return function of the farmers. The results indicate that when there is a combination of inputs of labor, funds and forestland which can maximize the operation interests of forestland input side and output side, the transfer price agreed by both sides is the solution of both sides to meet equilibrium,i.e.,when the strategies are both applied by forestland input and output sides, the transfer will be realized. It is concluded that(1)there are usually the factors restraining the selection on equilibrium strategy during forestland transfer in practice;(2)relevant departments of governments should design counter-measures regarding the disequilibrium factors in order to realize the equilibrium strategy of forestland transfer and eventually promote the transfer.
