Abstract: In the last two decades, driven by network information technology and globalization, with the increase of world economy and global trade, service trade worldwide has gained a repaid development, especially in emerging countries. While tourism and transportation services slow down, finance, information and business services enjoy a fast development speed. Modern service trade is being further strengthened in developed countries, and traditional service trade is being transferred to developing countries. Geographically speaking, culture trade advantage has been well manifested in Europe and America, whereas information service advantage displays a new feature in Asia. At present, the service trade in China, although boasting rapidly, still takes up a lower share in the foreign trade, with an irrational structure and poor competitiveness. Therefore, China should attach importance to finance and culture industry’s development, and fasten its pace in cultivating modern service industry and enterprise competitive edge, so as to promote the restructuring and upgrading of service trade and maintain a healthy and orderly development of national economy.
