Investigation on Center Carbon Segregation of Spring SteelChinese Full Text

Abstract: The mechanism of central carbon segregation formation of high-carbon spring steel continuous casting billets have been discussed.The effects of M-EMS,superheat,casting speed,secondary coolingwater flowrateon carbon segregation of billets were investigated also.It is put forward that casting at near liquidus temperature and intensive secondary cooling are the effective way to solve the centerline carbon segregation in continuous cast spring steel billets.
