Abstract: At present,the problem of the lack of innovation for English majors is becoming more and more serious because of their poor critical thinking skills. Therefore,in English audio- visual courses,it is of great significance to promote the cultivation of students ’ critical thinking from the perspectives of the transformation of teaching ideas,the reform of teaching materials,the changing of teaching methods and evaluation methods.
