Analysis of Historic Building Settlements Induced by Pipe Jacking ConstructionChinese Full Text

Abstract: To provide reference of foundation underpinning of Yu Huang pavilion,the settlements of Yu Huang pavilion are monitored in the pipe jacking construction period.7 monitoring points were arranged on each wall of Yu Huang pavilion,the settlements were observed at a fix time everyday,and the settlements of Yu Huang pavilion were obtained in the pipe jacking construction period.From the data,it can be seen that the following main factors that affect the settlements of Yu Huang pavilion are given:(1)stress release for soil excavation;(2)over excavation to rectification;(3) void around box girder due to friction;(4) soil consolidation after being disturbed.Proper suggestions are put forward in accordance with to these factors,which can provide reference for similar pipe jacking construction.
