Value of the multi-slice spiral CT angiography in the diagnosis of anomalous pulmonary venous connectionChinese Full Text

Abstract: Objective:To compare the value of the multi-slice spiral CT angiography （MSCTA） with that of transthoracic echocardiography （TTE） in the diagnosis of anomalous pulmonary venous connection.Methods:From September 2007 to May 2009,22 cases of suspected congenital anomalous pulmonary venous connection of children underwent MSCTA and TTE examination in comparison with surgical results.Results:The surgically confirmed 22 cases included total anomalous pulmonary venous connection in 13 cases:supra-cardiac （6 cases）,intra-cardiac （5 cases） and infra-cardiac （2 cases）.There was partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection in 9 cases,included supra-cardiac （8 cases） and intra-cardiac （1 case）.The diagnostic accuracy of MSCTA and TTE was 96% and 73%.Conclusion:Multi-slice spiral CT angiography is an important means in the diagnosis of congenital anomalous pulmonary venous connection.
