Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of ionizing radiation on levels of element and androgenic hormone in mouse blood. Methods Wistar rats were exposed to 5Gy irradiation and the levels of Ca,P,K,Mg,Fe,Cu,Zn and Mn in blood and plasma, and testosterone and dihydro testosterone in plasma were determined after 0.5h,4h and 24h.Results After 0.5h of exposure, the blood levels of Mg significantly decreased and Cu significantly increased(P<0.05).After 24h,the blood levels of Fe was significantly higher in the irradiation group than in the control group;while, its plasma levels was significantly lower in the irradiation group(P<0.05).After 0.5h and 4h,the plasma levels of testosterone was significantly lower in the irradiation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Some elements and hormone were affected by ionizing radiation. The mechanism and application value should be further studied.
