Abstract: Cystiform air spring was chosen as a study object,and its load model was established on the basis of force and material properties of an air bag. The simulation was performed based on the graphic method,and the device was designed to test an air spring’s performance. Experimental results verified the correctness of the model. The study showed that the material properties of the air spring have a larger influence on the air spring output load,especially,under its stretched state; the model can be used to describe the air spring load characteristics more accurately by introducing the feature coefficient of bag material. The model provided a simple and accurate method for calculating air spring load characteristics.
