TCM cycle adjustment therapy for polycystic ovary syndromeChinese Full Text

Abstract: Based on TCM syndrome differentiation,TCM cycle adjustment therapy should be adopted to treat polycystic ovary syndrome according to the wane and wax of Yin and Yang and the change of blood and Qi in menstrual cycle. Nourishing the blood,enriching Yin and tonifying kidney methods should be used in later stage of menstruation. Tonifying kidney-Yin method combined with warming kidney and activating Yang and promoting blood circulation to remove meridian obstruction drugs should be adopted to urge the transform from Ying to Yang which can motivate the removal follicles during menstruation. Invigorating kidney Yang warmly,promoting blood circulation to remove meridian obstruction,nourishing Yin drugs should be used to motivate Yin blood and Yang in earlier stage of menstruation. Vessels of the uterus are full in menstruation to promote Qi to activate blood and proper downward flow of the blood menstrual onset which can help patients recover ovulation,improve menstrual cycle,help to pregnancy,improve insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia.
