Abstract: In order to explore the application of topology optimization to the design of landing gear structure,the topology optimization model of an UAV landing gear outer cylinder is created based on the variable density method.Under the help of the well-known structure optimization platform OptiStruct,the optimal topology structure is obtained,which can meet the requirements of a variety of constraints and typical loading cases. The finite element simulation results show that it not only reduces the weight by 20% but also reduces the stress level greatly,and the design requirements of strength and stiffness are met. The topology optimization design method is of great significance for improving the landing gear structure design,realizing the lightweight design and enhancing the aircraft performance.
