Abstract: On the basis of water requirement of rice at different growth stages, this paper proposes water-saving irrigation control system for the rice fields based on wireless sensor network technology,by placing water potentials sensors and soil moisture sensors in different soil layers. In different growth stages of the rice, through the wireless network, the system transmits soil moisture monitoring information to the irrigation controller for analysis and processing, according to the required water information of rice filed,it can control solenoid valve to open and stop,in order to adjust the water depth and soil moisture content reasonably, creating a proper rice growth and development of water, light, heat, gas environment,in result, promoting a high and stable yield,by providing irrigate water timely and moderately, the system does not only improve the effectiveness of fertilizer using, but also conserve the rice irrigation water.
