Studies on anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of Anweiyang and its inhibitory activity on mucosal injury in rats with chronic superficial gastritisChinese Full Text

Abstract: Objective: To evaluate anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of Anweiyang and its inhibitory activity on mucosal injury in rats with chronic superficial gastritis.Methods: Abdominal capillary permeability mice model and paw swelling rat model were adopted to observe and evaluate the anti-inflammatory effect of Anweiyang.Mice twisting test and rat tail flick test were used to investigate the analgesic effect.Rat model of chronic superficial gastritis prepared by 0.02% ammonia and iregulate diet is adopted.After 30 days’treatment with drugs,gastric histopathology scoring,mucosal leision protection,content of inflammatory cytokines IL-1β,IL-8 in serum were used to evaluate its inhibitory activity on mcosal injury.Results: During anti-inflammatory test,abdominal capillary permeability were significantly decreased（0.225~0.450g/kg） and paw swelling ratio in rats declined in Anweiyang treating group（0.15~0.60g/kg）,with significance showed compared with control group.During the mice twisting test induced by Acetic Acid and tail flick test in rats,incubation period of analgesic reaction was prolonged and the pain threshold was lengthened in Anweiyang treat group（0.250;0.150~0.600g/kg）,significance showed compared with control group.Histopathology score（0.150~0.300g/kg）,mucosal injury rate（0.300~0.600g/kg） were decreased and expression of IL-1β（0.300~0.600 g/kg）,IL-8（0.150~0.300 g/kg）was inhibited in Anweiyang group.Conclusion: Anweiyang significantly inhibits experimental acute inflammation,pain and protects rats with chronic superficial gastritis from mucosal injury.
