Abstract: Objective: To study the relations between chromosome defects and male infertility.Methods: Chromosome preparations made from peripheral blood lymphocytes by conventional,G-banding technique 1147 cases of male infertiliey.Results: There are 97 cases with chromosome abnormalities which is 8.5% in all cases(97/1147).Eighty cases of sex chromosome abnormalities were detected,which account for 82.5% in total chromosomal abnormality.And 8 cases of chimera,1 case of sexual inversion,11 cases of translocation and 1 cases of inversion were found.Conclusion: Chromosome abnormality is very important etiology in male infertility.Chromosome karyotype analysis should be carried out routinely for male infertility.
