对约翰·密尔言论自由观的思考——读约翰·密尔《论自由》有感

Abstract: 本文从约翰·密尔的言论自由观出发,阐述言论自由在获取真理、发展个性、健全民主制度三方面发挥的重要作用,从而证明保障言论自由的必要性。文章还介绍了密尔关于言论自由的界限的理论。笔者认为密尔限制言论自由的理论具有理想化的色彩,无法指导言论自由在实践中的具体运用。文章末尾则从言论自由的绝对主义立场出发,探讨了言论自由原则在理想与现实层面的矛盾与困境。
