论劳伦斯对故乡诺丁汉的矛盾心理

Abstract: D.H.劳伦斯（1885——1930）出生于英国南部的诺丁汉郡,他二十几岁便离开了那里,然而,他的重要作品几乎都是以诺丁汉为背景的,同时,他还专门写了一些杂文表述自己对故乡的感受。从他的作品中可以看出劳伦斯对故乡的矛盾心理,一方面,作家对故乡无比热爱和眷恋;另一方面,作家对故乡无比厌恶和憎恨。这种心理或多或少地反映了劳伦斯对英国的态度。
