Clinical status of neovascular glaucomaChinese Full Text

Abstract: Neovascular glaucoma(NVG) is a common type of refractory glaucoma which may occur secondary to retinal ischemic diseases or extraocular vascular disorders. Its pathogenesis is obscure. Primary diseases usually cover the appearance and development of NVG. The condition always progress to the serious stage. Although drug and surgery can relieve high intraocular pressure(IOP),long-term result is not optimistic. Recently,with the widely use of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) drugs,radical cure of NVG is highly expected,whereas,clinical researches indicate that the vanishment of new vessels is transient. How to choose the best opportunity and scheme of therapy and how to make the individualized treatments are still difficulty for us. This article reviews the recent domestic and foreign researches to prefer some new thinking and clues to deal with NVG.
