Abstract: To explore the antioxidant activities of myxomycetes,we chosed the total reducing capacity and scavenging abilities of DPPH and O2as indexes to stuty antioxidation of Fuligo septica on plasmodium and sclerotium for the first time. The results showed that methanol extracts from plasmodium and sclerotium of Feligo septica all had good antioxidant activities. When the concentration was0. 8mg /mL,their scavenging rates to O2were 70. 39% and 86. 83%,respectively. In addition, when concentration was 0. 4 mg /mL,their scavenging rates to DPPH were 57. 22% and 62. 91%,respectively. The antioxidant capacity of methanol extracts from sclerotium was slightly better than plasmodium using the values of IC50.
