Abstract: To investigate flow behavior and deformation microstructure of alloy 2618-Ti,the hot compression tests were performed on a Gleeble-3500 thermal simulator at deformation temperature ranged from 300 ℃ to 500 ℃ and strain rate of 0.001 to 1.0 s-1,respectively.The results show that flow stress decreases with increasing deformation temperature, and increase with increasing strain rate. The steady flow stress can be well predicted by flow stress equation of 2618-Ti alloy at steady state. The deformation microstructure of the alloy at different deformation areas is affected remarkably by the variation of temperature and strain rate in hot compression.
