Study on brazing interface between Al2O3ceramics and Q235 steelChinese Full Text

Abstract: Al2O3 ceramics and Q235 steel were brazed with active brazing alloy Cu70Ti30.The weld interface was investigated using scanning electron microscope,energy dispersive spectrometer and X-ray diffraction instrument.The results show that the optimum brazing temperature is 1100 ℃,at which the brazing alloy is molten sufficiently,fills the joint and diffuses into both the ceramic side and the steel side.As a result,an interface bonding zone consisting of three layers forms.The three layers are reaction layer,Ti-Cu alloy layer and diffusion layer to the steel side.The liquid braze alloy fills the micropores of ceramics and forms the impact layer.The phases of AlCu4,Cu3 TiO4,TiC,TiFe2 are detected in the interface.The microstructure of the interface with few defects of cracks and micropores is compact and metallurgical bonding of the interface is obtained.
