Abstract: Microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti micro-alloyed low-carbon steel and Ti-Mo steels with different Mo /Ti atomic ratio proportion were investigated, and morphology, distribution of nanometer-sized carbides were studied by transmission electron microscope( TEM). The results show that the strength of the Ti micro-alloyed steel increases significantly by adding Mo. When the Ti content is a constant, the tensile strength and yield strength of the steel firstly increase and then descend with the increase of Mo content. Among the Mo /Ti atomic ratio of 0. 7,1. 1 and 1. 3,the mechanical properties of the tested steel with an Mo /Ti atomic ratio of 0. 7 are the best, the tensile strength of which can achieve 825 MPa.
