Abstract: This paper studies the provisions about resolution bandwidth( RBW) stipulated in GB /T24338- 2. The comparison between the effect of RBW recommended by the standard and the effect obtained proves that both test effects are the same as far as the peak value of interference is concerned. But the latter one has a faster scan speed,is more suitable to test the EMI of current high-speed railways. The field test is conducted on the phase-break section of Wuhan- Guangzhou high-speed railway to get the EMI of offline catenary arc on the running CHR3 high speed train and obtain the spectrum of the EMI from 30 MHz to 1 GHz. The amplitude-frequency characteristics of offline catenary arc EMI on the running high-speed train is analyzed through spectrum to provide the basis for assessing the interference of the offline pantograph arc EMI on high-speed trains.
