Abstract: 〈Dream of the Red Chamber〉 is known as one of the earliest female novel.This is not only because there are many female characters in it, but also because Cao Xueqin starts the novel with the " Nuwa" myth.Moreover, the main male character Jia baoyu’ s personality shows the tendency of female.Basically 〈Dream of the Red Chamber〉 exhibit predominance of women over men,but it also reveal negative perspective on female at the same time.This article’s aim is to conduct a study on contradictory perspective over women and its reason, based on Jia baoyu’s "Concept on girls".
