Abstract: To find out the most effective solution from the solution set available, the grey relational analysis method, grey clustering method and similarity priority ratio method were introduced into the multi-objective optimal design, and the ideas and procedure were given respectively. Taking a multi-objective optimal design of worm transmission as the example, the ideal solution and several effective solutions were obtained with an improved genetic algorithm, and then the grey relational analysis method, grey clustering method and similarity priority ratio method were used to order the effective solutions according to the performance and determining the most effective one. The process and result verified the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed methods.
