Abstract: Objective:To determine content of lobetyolin and total polysaccharides and total saponins from different region of Radix Codonopsis,and to explore the correlation between them so as to control the quality of Radix Codonopsis.Methods:Diamonsil C18 column（4.6mm×25cm,5μm） were used,the mobile phase was acetonitrile-water（25∶75） and the UV detector was set at 268nm.Use Colormetric method was used to determine the total polysaccharides and total saponins content.Results:The calibration curve was linear in the range of 0.0085~0.425mg.mL-1（r=0.9998）,the average recovery ratio was 100.7%.The contents of lobetyolin in codonopsis from 5 habits were detected between 0.187mg/g and 1.314 mg/g.The precision and recovery ratio fits the requirement.Conclusions:There was certain correlation between lobetyolin and total saponins,but total polysaccharides not.
