Abstract: Objective:The study of rhubarb powder umbilical therapy on abdominal distention of AECOPD patients with respiratory failure of noninvasive ventilation was made.Methods:70 AECOPD patients with noninvasive ventilation were randomly divided into two groups, the experimental group on the basis of routine treatment, was given the rhubarb powder umbilical therapy, the control group used conventional treatment. The complications, defecation frequency and the total number of cases of noninvasive ventilation of patients in two groups were compared. Results:The abdominal distension, reflux, aspiration and other complications rate in experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and noninvasive ventilation time was less than that in the control group, stool frequency was greater than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion:The rhubarb powder can relieve the abdominal distention and regurgitation and shorten the noninvasive ventilation time for AECOPD patients with noninvasive ventilation.
