Abstract: AIM: To explore a new experimental surgical technique for the treatment of heart failure.METHODS: A newly designed apparatus for stabilizing a beating mouse heart was applied with a built-in channel through which prepared cell suspension was injected into the cryoinjured area of left ventricles.A transgenic mouse model was used to provide the special cells for the injection.RESULTS: The number of green luorescent protein(GFP)-labeled cardiomyocytes of the injured myocardium using the new technique was significantly higher than using syringes for cell injection((P<0.01)).(CONCLUSION): The new technique significantly increases ostoperative survival rate.
