Abstract: AIM: To compare effectiveness, complications, and cost of three domestic-made ASD occluder in atrial septal defect (ASD) closure. METHODS: We prospectively compared closure rates, complication rates, regression of right ventricular dilatation, cost, inpatient stay in 338 patients with secundum atrial septal defects by three domestic-made ASD occluder: 113 cases (25±18 years) were treated shanghai-made occluder, 113 cases(24±17 years) were treated by shenzhen-made ASD septal occluder and 112 cases(24±16 years) were treated by beijing-made ASD septal occluder . RESULTS: There was no death cases in three groups.there was no difference in technical success rate, cardiac complications, regression of right ventricular dilatation by six months, hospital stay, median cost among three groups. CONSLUSION: Transcatheter closure of secundum atrial septal defects with the three domestic-made ASD occluder device was similar in effectiveness, complications, and cost.
