Abstract: AIM: To study the clinical profile of women ≤50 years old with coronary heart disease (CHD). METHODS: 48 women aged ≤50 years with chest pain were classified into CHD Group and Control Group by coronary angiography. Risk factors, clinical symptoms and the coronary angiographic characteristics were investigated retrospectively. RESULTS: The risk factors of women ≤50 years old with CHD are hypertension and a family history of CHD. Typical angina pectoris is an important character of such CHD people. Single vessel coronary disease is seen more frequently, and the left anterior descending artery is the most frequently involved vessel. CONCLUSION: Those who have typical angina pectoris, as well as hypertension and/or a family history of CHD are more likely to be CHD.
