Abstract: The relation between ventricular arrhythmia and heart rate variability was studied from 24 hour Holter recordings in sixty six patients with coronary heart disease. It was shown that high risk ventricular arrhythmia (VE) was not related to age, sex, impairment degree of coronary artery, myocardial infarction, but to heart rate variability:SDNN,SDANN and LF were lower in patients with high risk VE than those in patients with low risk VE. It is suggested that heart rate variability is an independent risk factor of ventricular arrhythmia.
