In this study, a two-scale analysis method which can analyze macroscopic and microscopic elastic-viscoplastic behavior of carbon fiber-reinforced plastics (CFRP) at the same time is applied to CFRP specimen models which simulates specimens for experiment to measure interlaminar tensile strength. First, four-point-bending analysis of L-shaped CFRP is conducted. The result shows that the point which has the maximum interlaminar stress agrees with the delamination point observed in experiments. Next, flatwise tensile analysis of CFRP is conducted. The result suggests that the flatwise tensile test can underestimate interlaminar strength of CFRP. The two kinds of analysis reveal that these experimental methods need further assessment to estimate accurate interlaminar strength of CFRP.
