ABSTRACT

Rhizobacteria having great potential for metal adaption are getting more research interest for improving the phytoremediation methods. This chapter focuses on some advanced techniques to growing higher plants having hyper-accumulating ability. After the discovery of hyperaccumulating plants, phytoextraction is also getting more attention. This study also reviews the processes, through which rhizobacteria transfer and makes the metals available to the plants. Moreover, research is needed to isolate the selected bacterial isolates from the metal-polluted rhizosphere of higher plants for the further improvement of phytoremediation projects.
