ABSTRACT

KONE Centennial Foundation (KCF) is a non-profit organisation based in Finland, established with the mission to advance and support developmental, educational and cultural activities for children and youth around the world. Under the support of KCF and KONE China, a fully furnished mobile library dedicated to serving migrant children and their schools in China were made available in September 2011. For children who have immigrated to cities with their family, their access to the education system in cities is unequal, which is caused by a range of intersectional sociocultural and structural factors. DanParents are always busy with work, and they don’t have enough time to company their children. In Hangzhou, the mobile library brings the Children’s Library service to schools, particularly; schools are located at the outskirt of the city. The Children’s Mobile Library has tried different strategies for travelling.
