Abstract

Abstract

Thermal analysis of palygorskites has been made between 20 and 900°C. Palygorskite contains three types of water clearly differentiated in the structure but thermal analysis has shown a superposition of the temperature domains where these waters are eliminated. Interpretation of the curves starting from high temperature (i.e. corresponding to the greater bond energies of the eliminated water molecules) shows a good agreement between experimental and calculated results in the base of a dioctahedral model.

Kurzrefekat

Kurzrefekat
