A variational procedure within the effective mass approximation is employed in the presence of magnetic field. The results are presented for 1s, 1p and 1d states Spin polaronic shifts are estimated using a mean field theory. The results show that spin polaronic shift (i)
decreases as the magnetic field increases for all the excited states and (ii) decreases for all the excited states for all the dot radii. The oscillator strengths coupling ground state with excited states decrease with the magnetic fields.
