ABSTRACT

The artwork Pedralumen 3 is a project by Gilbertto Prado with Grupo Poéticas Digitais. In the exhibition space, we have a cube of blue LEDs (8 x 8 x 8), which responds to the tides of the Ria Formosa in conjunction with the noise of the wind on the windows in the gallery and/or of the people present.in the exhibition to control the variation and intensity of the blue colour of the led cube. The aim is creating flows, to bring a dialogue, shared spaces of light, provoking actions in a symbolic and physical way. In this text we briefly present the series of some experiments by Grupo Poéticas Digitais of projects that use small structures of LEDs such as #BLUE (d'après Klein and Forest) from 2008 and Pedralumen, from 2009/2018, which bring the path of the artistic proposal.
