ABSTRACT

This paper describes the design of the triple band rectangular microstrip antenna using inset feed where three bands are combined with only two dual band patches. The antenna is designed to operate in the ISM band at 2.4 GHz, lower UNII band at 5.2 GHz and WiMAX at 3.6 GHz. The dimensions of each single element of the microstrip antenna, at these operating frequencies are calculated using transmission line model. Each element of inset fed antenna will resonate at two frequencies (Hence Dual band patches). The simulation process is done using IE3D and the results are presented in this paper.
