ABSTRACT
In EnhancedTV (ETV) where diverse multimedia data appear in scenes, synchronization between the video stream and other multimedia data, including graphics, is essential. Currently, the most widely used method of synchronizing video streams and other multimedia data in ETV is to match absolute time values with each other.

Timing Measurements of Synchronization Circuits
ASYNC '03: Proceedings of the 9th International Symposium on Asynchronous Circuits and SystemsA regular (two-flop) synchronizer and six multi-synchronous synchronizers are implemented on a programmable logic device and are measured. An experiment system and method for measuring synchronizers and metastable flip-flops are described. Two separate ...
Real-time adaptive content-based synchronization of multimedia streams
Traditional synchronization schemes of multimedia applications are based on temporal relationships between inter- and intrastreams. These schemes do not provide good synchronization in the presence of random delay. As a solution, this paper proposes an ...
Robust timing jitter control method for network synchronization
ICHIT '09: Proceedings of the 2009 International Conference on Hybrid Information TechnologyIn this paper, a robust timing jitter control method is proposed and analyzed for network synchronization. In order to reduce timing jitter which exists in delays between a master and slave, following delay is estimated by using previous one. Then, ...
