Girl with leukaemia will be treated privately

The girl, named only as B, is undergoing chemotherapy and, if that works, will be given a bone marrow transplant. She is being treated by Dr Peter Gravett, a haematologist at the private Portland Hospital in London. The £75000 cost will be met by the unnamed benefactor, who made the offer after the family lost its battle in the Appeal Court.
B's father sought a judicial review of Cambridge Health Authority's decision not to pay for the treatment. …
