Abstract

The investigation of host-guest interactions of crown-containing styrylbenzothiazole and styrylquinoline with 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin in aqueous media were carried out by means of electronic absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy, 1D and 2D NMR. UV irradiation was used for photochemical transformation of complexes. It was found that the photochemical transformation of supramolecular complexes includes E-Z photoisomerization of guest molecules.
