Reaction of (−)-carvone with phenylmethanethiol in the presence of basic Csβ-zeolite

Abstract

Reaction of (−)-carvone with phenylmethanethiol in the presence of basic Csβ-zeolite gave products of hetero-Michael addition. Two stereoisomeric products of addition of phenylmethanethiol at the endocyclic double carbon-carbon bond of (−)-carvone were isolated and characterized.
