Abstract

The article presents the results of an analysis of the economic situation of the Southern Russian macro region and discusses the current problems of its development and potential threats. In addition, it shows the possibilities of solving problems by stimulating the modernization of leading branches of regional economy, support of territorial and sectoral clusters and realizing innovative potential.
