Abstract
Dialkyl 3-methylbuta-1,2-dienyl- and vinylphosphonates take up imidazole at the β-carbon atom in the unsaturated fragment to give the corresponding β-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)alkenyl-and alkylphosphonates.
