Abstract

The effect of violation of the local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) on both the absolute values of intensities and intensity distribution in the rovibrational structure is shown using the modeling of rovibronic transitions in the B2Σ+–X2Σ+ and A2Π–X2Σ+ systems of the CN radical as an example. The possibility of using the two-temperature approximation for optical diagnostics of high-temperature gas-plasma media based on the emission spectra of CN in the absence of the local thermodynamic equilibrium is discussed.
