Abstract

This work is devoted to the study of the interaction of components in the NaClO3–HNO3⋅NH2C2H4OH–H2O system by the visual-polythermal method in order to establish the composition of a new effective defoliant. The solubility of the system was studied in the temperature range from – 51.2 to 70.0°C. Its polythermal solubility diagram has been constructed on which the crystallization fields of ice, sodium chlorate and monoethanolammonium nitrate are distinguished. New dates were obtained on the physicochemical properties (crystallization temperature, pH, density, viscosity and refractive index) of the components of the system, and a “composition-properties” diagram of the studied system was constructed.
