Abstract

In this paper, to describe the rate of heterogeneous catalytic reactions, we use the physicochemical interpretation of this phenomenon, which is widely used in the literature for a wide variety of heterogeneous chemical reactions and is based on recording this rate in the Arrhenius form. The results of studies devoted to the analysis of the influence exerted by the use of various approaches to describe heterogeneous reactions of the type under consideration on the quality of the description of the published experimental data on the catalytic properties of silicon carbide are presented.
