Abstract
A revision of the continental snail genus Passamaella L. Pfeiffer 877, endemic to Soqotra Island (Yemen), is presented. Details of the anatomy of the genital organs are given for the first time. Four new species and a new genus are described: Passamaella compressa n. sp., Passamaella polita n. sp., Passamaella paucidentata n. sp., Hoqia n. gen., Hoqia pulchella n. sp. Remarks are presented on possible phylogenetic relationships, and distribution patterns of the species are discussed.
Kurzfassung
Die für die Insel Soqotra (Jemen) endemische Landschneckengattung Passamaella L. Pfeiffer 1877 wird revidiert. Erste Hinweise zur Anatomie der Genitalorgane können gegeben werden. Außerdem werden folgende vier Arten und eine Gattung neu beschrieben: Passamaella compressa n. sp., Passamaella polita n. sp., Passamaella paucidentata n. sp., Hoqia n. gen., Hoqia pulchella n. sp. Hinweise auf phylogenetische Zusammenhänge sowie einige besondere Verteilungsmuster der Arten werden diskutiert.
